Just took delivery and hung the lights right away.. 50 lights on 50ft cord. Lights wouldn’t come on, not one. Thought it was the outlet so I got out the multi-meter.. Long story short. The bulbs must be threaded in a turn or so past snug. Tighten them all with the strand plugged in so I could stop just as it made contact and came on. Bulbs are shatter proof plastic so don’t be too concerned about breaking them. I suppose they go in tight to make a good seal with the plastic socket and make them weatherproof. I’m happy now that they work!
